Are children allowed on our farm?

Yes, we allow children at our farm stay. They especially love to interact with the chickens. The goats have moved on.
You always need to be present with your child when visiting the animals
What can we expect in terms of food?
It’s your choice what you want to eat or cook. You can make your own meals right in the comfort of your own kitchen…and take a short walk down to the chicken house and see if there are any fresh eggs for the taking. There are also excellent restaurants in the town of Rexsville and La Conner that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Will the farm smell?

We don’t think so. There will be areas that smell like animals, but generally all these smells are normal smells on a farm, nature smells that you will become accustomed to.
We would suggest our smells are better than city smells. If you have any allergies to hay, grass, trees it would be advisable to bring your allergy medicine with you just in case.

What clothes should we bring?
Clothing depends on the time of year and the location! If we ignore seasonality, hands-on farms can be dirty so don’t wear your best duds when you go outside to visit with the animals. I would recommend bringing a pair of boots just in case. Children normally need more changes of clothes than adults.
Will there be internet, cell phone, TV or WiFi at the farm?
Yes, we are all wired up for technology. We have excellent high-speed internet and have good cell phone reception. We do not have a land line in case you need to fax something. We plan on getting a fax line in the future.
What can we expect in terms of things to do?

Generally March & April are planting season.
Will we have to work on the farm?
Work is never required here but we will never turn you down if you want to help. We just want you to feel relaxed, comfortable and soak up the vibe of country life so you go home refreshed and invigorated, with good memories and hardly any sore muscles!
What will we learn about farming or ranching?

You can learn by participating, if you are willing!
Can I drive the tractor?
Sorry, but our insurance agents take a dim view of this and we listen to what they say so we can obtain liability insurance.
